A protected reserve, an hour offshore
Nine small islands off the coast of Muscat, closed to fishing and open to anyone who can swim. The reef starts in three metres of water, so you do not need a tank to see it — a mask and a calm morning are enough.
We keep the groups small and the boat leaves early, before the day traffic reaches the anchorages.
